Dynojet Clutch Kits were designed from the ground up. Each kit contains fully adjustable arms with precision magnetic weights. The clutch weights have been specially crafted for the H2 primary clutch to ensure the shift is smooth and you feel every ounce of performance your Teryx has to offer.
Dynojet’s clutch arms are designed with a 13% wider ramp width, reducing wear and tear on the clutch rollers, as well as improving adjustability. With the reduced friction of the clutch arm, Dynojet’s clutch arms respond faster than stock applications due to the reduced weight of the clutch arm, similar to reducing unsprung weight on a vehicle.
Dynojet’s proprietary bushing inside the clutch arm further reduces friction and power loss, delivering class-leading power and drivability.
Additionally, Dynojet reduces the friction between the surface of the clutch arm and the outer clutch sheave tower with proprietary, treated clutch arms with 30% more surface area, reducing friction and stiction between the clutch arm and clutch sheave, resulting in smoother and quicker backshift, more predictable power, as well as reducing wear of the clutch sheave, improving reliability.
The ramp profile of a CVT clutch arm is similar to a conventional camshaft in a motor. The ramp profile of the arm dictates the shift pattern of a vehicle. For example, at full WOT from a stop, the amount of shift is determined by the ramp angle and mass of the clutch arm. The steeper the clutch arm profile, the faster the vehicle will shift. However, the balance is making sure the profile matches your vehicle’s power output. If it shifts too fast, you will miss the optimum “power” window of your vehicle.
Competitors typically only do power runs to validate power gains. What they miss is the drivability of the vehicle, which is what everyday users FEEL. This is a calculation between gear ratio and time. Due to the nature of a CVT transmission, it is imperative to get crisp, quick “backshifts”.
